Important notes for NEO Pro 3.2 users

1 - What’s new in this release

Please read this document carefully and familiarize yourself with the new features before using them. For what’s new in this 398 build please check below for the Release History.

2 - New functionalities in the Main Menu:

When upgrading to 3.2 the Main Menu will be reset automatically to make the new functionalities available. All other UI settings and customizations will be maintained. There is no need for a manual toolbar or layout reset.

3 - Export/import of User Interface settings:

With the new import/export facility for User Interface settings it is highly recommended you first export and save your current settings (under View | Layout | Export…) before importing the new User Interface settings as supplied with this release or before positioning the preview pane to the right. Testing the new preview pane on the right is best done with importing one of the supplied UI settings as starting point for further customizations.

What is Nelson Email Organizer (NEO)

Nelson Email Organizer is a refreshing new interface for managing and searching email. It automatically organizes your email into easy-to-access views. On-the-fly word indexing and a web-style search makes finding messages a breeze - search thousands of messages in seconds. Message filtering lets you zero in on your important mail quickly.

An alternative interface for Microsoft Outlook email, NEO works with Outlook Personal Stores, offline Stores and Microsoft Exchange Server mailboxes. You can compose, reply, forward, send and receive all from within NEO, and you can switch easily between NEO and Outlook whenever you like.

NEO Pro Evaluation

The NEO Pro evaluation is a fully-functional product. You may try all NEO Pro features free of charge for 30 days using an evaluation license you will receive when you start NEO Pro. You can purchase NEO Pro at any time. After the trial period, NEO Pro will no longer start unless you register. Registering NEO Pro will unlock it for you for permanent use - there is no need to download again.

If you choose not to use NEO Pro, you can always use NEO Free.

System Requirements

· Windows 98/Me, Win NT, Win 2000, Win XP or Vista.

· Microsoft Outlook 98, 2000, 2002(XP), 2003 or 2007 installed.

Notes:

* NEO does not work with Microsoft Outlook Express.

* NEO does not work with IMAP message stores.

* If using Exchange 2000 Server, Microsoft Exchange Service Pack 2 must be installed; if using Exchange 5.5, Microsoft Exchange Service Pack 3 must be installed.

* Even though Microsoft Outlook needs to be installed, it does not need to be running to use NEO. NEO does not interfere with your use of Outlook in any way.

* If using Outlook 2003, please make sure Outlook Service Pack 1 is installed. In Service Pack 1 Microsoft fixed defects that caused NEO problems when accessing data in OST and Cached Exchange Mode.

How to Install

Download the setup program (NEOFreeSetup.exe or NEOProSetup.exe) from our download page and save it on your computer. Close all applications (it's especially important that Outlook and previous versions of NEO or NEO products are closed), then double-click the downloaded file and follow the directions.

The version you start depends on the SetUp program you installed.

When updating a previously installed NEO Pro 3.x, install it over the same file location as before - there is no need to uninstall before updating. It is recommended to reboot after installation.

To go back from NEO Pro 3.2 to NEO Free 3.1 first uninstall NEO Pro as described below and run NEOFreeSetup.exe again.

How to Uninstall

· Click Start, then Control Panel then Add/Remove Programs program.

· Select NEO Pro.

· Click either Change or Remove (depends on your system). If you click Change, choose Remove when the dialog appears.

· You can choose whether or not to remove your catalog data. If you believe you will not be using NEO again, then choose to remove it.

· Also, it helps us to know why you are uninstalling NEO Pro. We'd appreciate it if you click the box to give us a reason.
