Background In version 3.0 there were two products: NEO (Standard) and NEO Pro. NEO and NEO Pro looked almost identical - in fact, NEO Pro had just a few additional features.
Over the past year many of our users and evaluators told us they wanted a simpler product. After much thinking and design work we came up with a very simple interface idea, and we wanted to make it free to encourage wider use of our NEO features. So we created NEO Free.
Now NEO Free and NEO Pro - NEO (Std) is discontinued In version 3.1 we are offering NEO Free and NEO Pro. In fact, they are the same product that runs in Free or Pro modes. See How Free and Pro work together.
However, NEO Free didn't leave enough room for NEO (Std). As a result, also starting in version 3.1 we discontinued development of NEO (Std). We regret any inconvenince this may cause our NEO Std users, but there are some great options - see next section.
What about our current NEO (Std) 3.0 users? As a NEO 3.0 user you are welcome to continue using NEO 3.0. However, we encourage you to try our NEO 3.1 products! They are easier to use, have some great new features such as Quick File, and several issues have been addressed.
NEO Free is of course free and may suit your needs perfectly. We have also reduced our upgrade to NEO Pro price by half, from $30 to $15, in case you'd like to step up to NEO Pro.
We are continuing to provide product technical support to our NEO 3.0 customers but will discontinue support when version 4.0 is released (sorry, no date available yet).
